RN New Life Center – Labor & Delivery​/Perinatal 0.9 FTE 7p – 730a + call

About This Role

The RN at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital will work in the Labor & Delivery/Perinatal unit, providing patient-centered care during night shifts. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about maternal and infant health and enjoy working collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.

• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (7p - 7:30a) + call

• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Involve patients and families in developing plans of care.
• Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medications, and document care.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
• Complete admission assessments of maternal and/or infant patients.
• Communicate timely information regarding changes in patient condition.
• Perform Unit Coordinator responsibilities as needed.
• Ensure JCAHO Core Measures related to nursing care are achieved.

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience:
  • Experience in a Labor & Delivery/Perinatal setting preferred
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within one year
  • Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire
