Home Care Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Night shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description:

The Home Care Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized care for pediatric patients who are primarily technology-dependent, including those on tracheostomies and ventilators. This role will not require facility attendance; it is entirely home health-based. Candidates should possess expertise in managing medically complex patients and demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive home health nursing care for pediatric patients with complex needs.
• Implement and manage tracheostomy and ventilator care protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and health statuses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records using electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Ohio license as a Registered Nurse is mandatory.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in home health, pediatrics, or acute care settings is required.
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.
• Experience in managing technology-dependent patients and individuals with developmental delays is highly preferred.
