About This Role

As an RN Specialist at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, you will provide and assist with the care of patients undergoing cardiac catheter procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care. This role is ideal for those looking to enhance patient experiences and provide healthcare education.

• Admit, assess, and provide pre- and post-procedure care to patients.
• Provide patient care during Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
• Coordinate patient transfers within the facility and outlying facilities.
• Ensure patient and caregiver safety.
• Record and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Administer medications as ordered by a physician.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.
• Complete mandatory education and training to maintain competencies.
• Remain flexible to work in and cross train between other areas.
• Serve as preceptor for university students in nursing and/or other health sciences.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)

• Critical care and/or Emergency Department nursing experience preferred

• Current state licensure in Ohio as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
