RN – Neuroscience ICU, 7a-7:30p

As an RN in the Neuroscience ICU at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will provide critical care to patients recovering from strokes, neuro traumas, and surgeries. • Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (7:00 a.m.
  
  - 7:30 p.m.)

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person for the team.
• Review and document progress and discharge goals with patients and families.
• Communicate patient care information during shift report.

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.

• 1+ year of current stepdown/ICU/critical care RN experience or 1+ year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first year of employment.
• Satisfactory completion of CVVHD training and TNCC certification within one year of appointment.
• TCAR certification required within 24 months of hire.
