Endoscopy Rn Opportunity
The Endoscopy RN will provide specialized nursing care in the endoscopy and GI department, supporting procedural procedures, patient preparation, and post-procedure care. This position requires adherence to clinical standards and OSHA regulations to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopy and GI procedures, ensuring equipment functionality and safety protocols.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, responses, and recovery progress post-procedure.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and facility policies.
- Educate patients regarding pre- and post-procedure care instructions.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Ohio RN license or a compact state RN license.
- Possess minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in endoscopy or GI nursing.
- Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe Medicate assessments.
- Successfully pass facility-required assessments with acceptable scores.
