Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for Med/Surg Telemetry unit on a 13-20 week contract in Cleveland Clinic
- Akron General Hospital. This role involves providing high-quality patient care during night shifts, ensuring safety and positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals according to physician orders.
• Recognize and respond promptly to patient deterioration, including ECG rhythm recognition.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.
• Participate in orientation and skills assessments, including ECG recognition and Safe Medicate tests.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent, continuous perm Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Be certified in BLS and ACLS, active and in hand upon application.
• Complete a background check, ECG rhythm recognition, and Safe Medicate assessments successfully.
• Provide a managerial reference from the past 12 months in the specialty applying for.
• Be nicotine-free (except for Nurses and CSTs) with required drug screens completed within 12 months.
