Experienced RN – Neonatal ICU, 7p-7:30a, 0.9 FTE

About This Role

The Experienced RN in the Neonatal ICU at Cleveland Clinic Akron General will provide exceptional care to infants in a level III NICU. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about neonatal care and want to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (7p-7:30a)

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and serve as a resource and mentor to staff.
• Complete admission assessments of maternal and/or infant patients.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO Core Measures related to nursing care.
• Incorporate patient safety goals into daily practices.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)

• Two years of experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU preferred

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire
• Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire
