Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General as an RN in the Med/Surg Float Pool, where you will provide quality patient care to diverse populations in various units. This role is ideal for caregivers who thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to patient-centered care.

• Schedule:
  
  Part-time, Night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.)

• Deliver cost-effective, quality patient care utilizing case management principles.
• Provide nursing care to adult, geriatric, and sometimes adolescent patients.
• Complete med-surg competency and primarily be assigned to those units.
• Cover non-medical-surgical units as needed.
• Promote nursing caring standards and guest relations standards.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care planning.
• Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medications, and document.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person/mentor.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first year of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
