PRN RN – Emergency Department

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.

Experience:

• 2+ years of recent related nursing experience for external applicants.
• Internal applicants with less than 2 years’ experience may be considered with approval.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within one year of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
