SummaryThe Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight in ambulatory care settings. Serving as a mentor and resource, the supervisor supports nursing staff in delivering evidence-based care and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care quality, staff performance, and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Oversee operational systems and clinical practice, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities for improvement.
- Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
- Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
- Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
- Provides coordination in collaboration with the Managers and Directors of the specific department.
- Responsible for business practice operations, personnel supervision and quality/performance improvement initiatives.
- Assists Director and/or Manager with projects.
- Other duties as required.
Technical Expertise
- Experience in pediatric healthcare is preferred.
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma and other performance improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite [Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. Epic or similar EMR software is required/preferred.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. - Certification/Licensure:
Registered Nurse licensure is required; current Health Care Provider BLS is required. - Years of relevant experience: 3 years is preferred.
- Experience supervising in healthcare: preferred
