About This Role
As an RN in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will deliver exceptional patient care and interact directly with patients and their families. This role is ideal for experienced nurses seeking a flexible per-diem position in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Highlights- Pay: $43 - $43/hour
- Location: Akron, OH
- Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
- Department/Unit: Emergency Department
- Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- External applicants: 2 years of recent related nursing experience
- Internal applicants: less than 2 years of experience, with post orientation/90-day probationary period considered with Chief Nursing Officer approval
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within specified time frames
