RN – Neuroscience Med​/Surg FTE

About This Role

As an RN in the Neuroscience Med/Surg unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will provide exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about patient-centered care and eager to make a positive impact on patients and their families.

• Location: Akron, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care.
• Serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Contribute to the improvement of care and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Delegate tasks and serve as a resource person.
• Pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Experience in a nursing role preferred.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
