New Grad RN Resident – Neuroscience Med​/Surg

As an RN in the Neuroscience Med/Surg unit at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, you will deliver exceptional care to patients with strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries.   - 7:30 p.m.)

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a given patient population.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care plans.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate.
• Administer treatments and medications, and document care provided.
• Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Contribute to the improvement of care and participate in the quality improvement process.
• Delegate tasks/assignments and serve as a resource person.
• Pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.

• Experience in a similar nursing role preferred.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
