Description
Med Vet Akron is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Rehabilitation Veterinarian to join our growing team. This position will be part time. This role is well suited for a DVM who is excited to partner with local leadership to shape department development, strengthen culture, and promote collaboration across specialties and care teams. The ideal candidate will take an active role in advancing rehabilitation medicine within the hospital and will be comfortable helping define how the service integrates into the broader specialty and emergency care environment.
Responsibilities- Take an active role in advancing rehabilitation medicine within the hospital and help define how the service integrates with the broader specialty and emergency care environment.
- Collaborate across specialties and with nursing and support teams to support department development and long-term service growth.
- Own and advocate for the rehabilitation service within the hospital and adapt staffing as needed (flexible model may include more than one part-time DVM, such as a primary Rehabilitation DVM and a chiropractic-focused DVM).
- Board-certified or residency-trained Rehabilitation Veterinarian (DVM required).
- Preferred:
Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP). - Preferred:
Certified Animal Chiropractor (CAC). - Preferred:
Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA).
