This role has a hiring range of $/hr based on experience.

Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who canidentifypatientdistress and react accordingly, enjoysphlebotomy, placing IV catheters,assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary
• Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
• Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans, clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
• Provide client education including, but not limitedto:home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
• Assist DVM with patient assessment,treatment and procedures
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesia and sedation procedures
• Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
• Prior veterinary experience required,previous nursing or critical care experience desired
• Proficientincalculations(drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
