Job Description

Gpac is partnering with a well-respected RTE food manufacturer in search of a Quality Assurance Lead. Relocation assistance is available!

USDA/Meat experience is essential!

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA policies and procedures to uphold compliance with company, customer, and government standards, providing timely feedback and corrective actions.
  • Engage in customer and annual SQF audits as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough pre‑shipment reviews, monitor CCPs, validate studies, and report deficiencies related to GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs.
  • Oversee inspection and sampling processes to maintain rigorous control over materials, facilities, and products, ensuring specifications are met including temperature and weight evaluations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, gather and analyze data, develop alternative solutions, and facilitate effective group problem‑solving.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to maintain high standards of cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in computer skills, analytical equipment, and food‑processing technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control processes specific to the food‑processing sector.
  • Understanding of quality control criteria, including HACCP, SSOP, and SOP.
  • Familiarity with USDA and FDA regulations.
  • A self‑motivated, goal‑oriented individual with strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
