About the Role:
The Finished Product Specialist is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying finished products to ensure they meet established quality, safety, and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in quality assurance, product release, and compliance activities within a manufacturing environment. The position focuses on finished product evaluation, documentation, inventory disposition, and adherence to quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
$1,000 Sign On Bonus Available
Responsibilities:- Perform finished product inspections to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements
- Conduct quality checks, sampling, and testing on finished goods prior to release
- Review production records, batch documentation, and quality data for accuracy and completeness
- Identify non-conforming products and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Support product hold, release, and disposition processes
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns
- Monitor finished product inventory status and ensure proper storage and handling practices
- Support internal audits, compliance inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to GMP, food safety, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing, food production, or warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues
- Experience with inspections, documentation, and quality reporting
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and quality tracking systems
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Quality Assurance, or related field
- Experience in food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, or other regulated industries
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, BRC, GFSI, ISO, UL, or NSF standards
- Experience with laboratory testing, sampling, or product evaluation processes
- Certification in HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense, Six Sigma, or CQI
