We are looking for a Quality Specialist to play a key role in maintaining product quality and supporting daily operations at our Akron site. This position provides hands‑on inspection support while also helping strengthen our quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will:- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality meets defined standards
- Provide quality inspection coverage across shifts as needed to support production
- Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection records and Certificates of Compliance
- Manage nonconforming materials, including documentation and rework instructions
- Support calibration programs and ensure measuring equipment is properly maintained
- Process return material authorizations and support issue resolution
- Collaborate with production, inspectors, and quality engineering to maintain strong communication and consistent quality standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and processes
This role typically works 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with occasional schedule flexibility (approximately 35% of the year), as well as overtime or weekend support as needed based on business demands.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
To be successful in this role, you should have:- High school diploma required; additional education in quality, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus
- Experience or working knowledge of ISO and/or cGMP requirements and quality systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams while adapting to changing priorities
