Barista

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at a busy coffee shop in Akron As a Barista you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages to customers as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere in the shop This is a seasonal job with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including espresso drip coffee tea and specialty drinks
• Ensure consistent quality in all drinks by following recipes and using proper techniques
• Assist customers with menu choices and provide exceptional customer service
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness of work area including equipment counter tops and seating areas
• Stock supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
• Knowledge of different brewing methods and techniques for making quality coffee drinks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
