Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Business Development Specialist with around 4-6 years of experience in B2B outbound sales, focused on the North American market. This role demands a consultative sales approach, a deep understanding of buyer behaviour, and an ability to generate qualified leads that fuel our Salesforce CRM pipeline. You will play a vital role in driving customer acquisition and revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting high-potential prospects across various industries.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, research, and prospect new B2B clients across the U.S. and Canada through outbound channels, including cold calling, email outreach, Linked In, and virtual engagement.
- Own and manage a sales pipeline of expired, new, and existing customer leads, ensuring accurate lead status tracking, timely follow-ups, and consistent communication.
- Generate high-quality leads aligned with the company’s sales strategy and target personas to be nurtured and managed in Salesforce CRM.
- Develop persuasive sales messaging and custom pitches tailored to North American business contexts, industry verticals, and compliance requirements.
- Qualify and prioritize leads based on buying intent, budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT) or other qualification frameworks.
- Utilize market intelligence tools (Zoom Info, Apollo, Linked In Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, etc.) to build detailed prospect profiles and uncover business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the inside sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams to create outbound campaigns that resonate with the North American audience.
- Maintain frequent, professional contact with leads and clients using phone, email, and virtual meetings to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Consistently update and manage lead information, contact history, and engagement activities in Salesforce CRM.
- Communicate proactively with management regarding pipeline activity, lead quality, market feedback, and competitive intelligence.
- Monitor and report performance against lead generation KPIs, including lead volume, conversion rates, and appointment setting goals.
- Extensive experience generating B2B leads for the North American market with a deep understanding of cultural, commercial, and industry-specific nuances.
- Strong outbound sales experience, including cold calling, email sequencing, Linked In outreach, and virtual client engagement.
- Ability to craft compelling value propositions, leveraging a consultative and solution-oriented sales approach.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM for lead tracking, pipeline reporting, and sales coordination.
- Comfortable with high activity levels and performance-based targets.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written), with professional fluency suited for North American clients.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and drive for performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in outbound B2B sales/lead generation roles, preferably for international markets.
- Prior experience in selling or generating leads for technology, SaaS, or professional services firms.
- Experience working in a U.S. or Canada-facing sales team is highly preferred.
