About Specialty Program Group (SPG Life & Annuity): SPG Life & Annuity Insurance Solutions is a national life insurance and annuity distribution platform and a division of Specialty Program Group (SPG).
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain proficiency in our full carrier and product portfolio, including fully‑insured, level‑funded, and self‑funded plan designs.
- Support the Health Brokerage Sales VP with day‑to‑day sales activities, client calls, and account strategy.
- Prepare benefit illustrations, proposals, and presentations tailored to employer group needs.
- Respond to inbound service inquiries from agent partners and employer clients, including questions related to benefits, billing, and plan changes.
- Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities within the existing book of business; assist in driving new client acquisition through referrals and outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agent partners, HR contacts, and key decision‑makers.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and sales outreach initiatives, including email communications, events, and collateral distribution.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in CRM systems, tracking client interactions, pipeline activity, and upcoming renewals.
- Support the annual renewal process by preparing renewal analyses and coordinating carrier communications.
- Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, client‑first approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and follow‑through
- 2+ years of experience in health insurance, employee benefits, or a related sales support role
- Active Life & Health insurance license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Preferred:
- Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Applied Epic, or similar)
- Knowledge of small group and mid‑market health insurance markets

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
