We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Geologist or Environmental Scientist who will primarily engage in fieldwork, spending 95% to 100% of their time outdoors. Your contributions will be essential to our Resilience Environment team, where you will promote improved quality of life through your expertise in geology or environmental science. This role involves various activities such as remediation, sampling, and monitoring, all conducted in adherence to relevant Health and Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Participate actively in field activities, including supporting drilling operations and installing monitoring wells while accurately describing soil or rock.
- Conduct soil, groundwater, and air sampling in line with state and federal regulations.
- Compile, manage, and evaluate data effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documents such as reports, work plans, and correspondence.
- Contribute to the creation of visual project aids, including figures, maps, and boring logs.
- Perform fieldwork tasks, such as overseeing drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation, conducting groundwater sampling, and managing remediation systems.
- Handle data management via tablets, ensuring thorough compilation and evaluation with QA/QC measures.
- Be prepared for local and regional travel, including potential overnight stays of up to 2 weeks at a time.
Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as an intern or in environmental fieldwork.

SalaryThe salary range for this role is $49,680 - $74,520 per year. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience, education, internal equity, project demands, and location.
