GLAZIER

As a glazier you will be required to cut, fabricate, and install glass and architectural aluminum metal for windows, doors for commercial store fronts, glass curtain walls, and unitized panel systems. You will install custom automatic doors, skylights, and mirrors. Glaziers use a variety of power and hand tools as well as power equipment both in the shop and on construction projects.

During the installation process you will properly set the metal, glass, and seal the unit to be watertight. As an installer you will use wire clips, rubber gaskets, metal or wood moldings, putty, and caulking to complete the installation process.

• Cut, fabricate, and install curtain wall, storefront, and unitized panel systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Use hand tools, grinders, saws, caulk guns, scaffolding, ladders, and lift machines.
• Perform all glazing duties as assigned in the absence of the foreman.
• Adhere to job site safety standards and OSHA compliance.
• Work respectfully as a union member on the job site.

• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Ready to take direction from foreman and superintendent.
• Possess basic hand tools.
• Have reliable transportation and ability to travel to required job sites.
