About the Role

We're looking for a motivated Entry-Level Fiber Splicer to join our growing telecommunications team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and learning new skills in a fast‑growing industry. No prior fiber splicing experience required training is provided.

Responsibilities

* Assist with splicing, terminating, and testing fiber‑optic cables using fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and related tools.

* Support installation of aerial, underground, and inside‑plant fiber.

* Help troubleshoot and repair fiber‑optic lines and network issues.

* Prepare and organize splice trays, enclosures, patch panels, and cable management.

* Follow engineering prints, splice plans, and network diagrams.

* Document work performed, including test results, splice records, and site photos.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

* Participate in on‑call or after‑hours work as needed.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED.

* Strong interest in telecom, networking, or technical fieldwork.

* Ability to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and at heights.

* Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.

* Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred (Not Required)

* Experience with low‑voltage, construction, utilities, or cable installation.

* Familiarity with fiber tools such as fusion splicers, OTDRs, or fiber identifiers.

* Coursework or exposure to networking or electronics.
