Fiber Technician - Kent, OH

We have an immediate opening for an energetic Fiber Technician in Akron, OH.

• Install and troubleshoot all Metro Net services from the terminal to customer premise equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on all Metro Net products and services.
• Earning commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to all customers.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and fellow associates.
• Work towards meeting key performance metrics.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested (subject to all applicable state and federal laws).

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred experience with a telecom/fiber company, but not required.
• Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods.
• Physical ability to work in various conditions, including attics, crawl spaces, and adverse weather.
• Physical ability to climb ladders with proper equipment up to 25 feet (safety belt, safety strap, hard hat, and other equipment as needed).
• Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 75 lbs (including ladder).
• Ability to work with basic hand tools and other specialized equipment with training.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle/equipment safely and professionally.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to work as a team and independently.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Perform on‑call rotation duties after regular business hours.
