Job Summary:

Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, hydraulic systems, starters/alternators, air conditioning systems, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, and/or differentials.

Maintenance, such as changing oil or oil/fuel filters, inspecting vehicles for mechanical deficiencies, checking battery, auxiliary pumps and engines, tire pressures, headlights, and lubricating equipment.

Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, hydraulic systems, starters/alternators, air conditioning systems, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, and/or differentials.

Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and vendors.

Maintain safety culture and compliance.

Purchase and retrieve parts.

Maintain company issued service truck.

Utilize relevant information technology and applications for documenting work.

Job Purpose:

The Mobile Technician is responsible for providing on-site vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety of vehicles. The technician will play a crucial role in delivering efficient and high-quality service to meet customer needs and enhance their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to trucks and commercial vehicles, at customer locations.

Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and expertise, providing accurate assessments and solutions.

Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventive measures to avoid future breakdowns.

Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions to ensure transparency and accountability.

Communicate effectively with customers to explain technical issues and the necessary repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and trust.

Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to provide the best service possible.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.

Manage inventory of tools and parts in the service vehicle, ensuring readiness for any service call.

Collaborate with the service team and other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer service excellence.

Required

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Technical certification in automotive or diesel technology is preferred.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mobile technician or in a similar automotive repair role.

Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues efficiently.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to automotive repair.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts as required for vehicle repairs.
