Bucket Truck Operator

Job Description

A Bucket Operator’s primary responsibility is to assist with the clearing & removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. The operator uses an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines, and may also operate chain saws, pruners, brush chipper, and climb trees using climbing equipment. A minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience trimming out of a bucket or running a bucket in a utility or residential tree clearance setting is required.

A CDL or valid driver license is preferred. A pesticide license is beneficial but not mandatory.

4-10 hour days, either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with periods of mandatory overtime. Staff are required to work emergency storm duty as needed.

Varies depending upon skills and experience.

Travel is required throughout various states including PA, MD, OH, VA, and WV. Candidates must be flexible to travel on short notice based on contract demands.
