Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

We are a residential construction company based in Akron, USA and we are seeking skilled and experienced carpenters to join our team. As a carpenter you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood and other materials. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of structures.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares, or marking gauges.
• Follow safety procedures when operating machinery or using hand tools.
• Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, drills or sanders.
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples or adhesives.
• Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings or hardware.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures.
• Maintain a clean work area by removing debris after each job.

• Proven experience as a carpenter in residential construction projects.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Familiarity with woodworking machines and tools.
• Good understanding of mathematics for measuring and calculating material needs.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and long hours of standing.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
