Location: Akron City Campus, Akron, OH
Shift: 2nd shift
Employment: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Summa Health System is one of the region’s top employers. This role involves operating fire alarm, electrical distribution, emergency power systems, nurse call, overhead paging and pneumatic tube systems. You will also perform installation and repairs in compliance with NEC, support maintenance personnel, and provide training.

• Operate fire alarm system and electrical distribution.
• Use portable test equipment and operate the emergency power system, including generators and transfer switch.
• Operate nurse call system, overhead paging, and pneumatic tube system.
• Perform electrical installation and repairs per National Electric Code.
• Provide support and assistance to maintenance activities and train skilled trade personnel.

• Formal education: 2 years electrician trade school OR high school level course in grammar, composition and mathematics.
• Experience:
  
  2 years electrician experience in a large institution, commercial facility or service company.
• Skills:
  
  planning, prioritizing workload, problem resolution, effective communication with healthcare professionals, engineers, contractors, staff; data analysis, diagnosis and troubleshooting; reading blueprints; customer service; interaction with patients/customers with respect and dignity.
• Physical demands:
  Sedentary, can exert up to 10 lbs occasionally.

$24.88/hr – $34.67/hr (base salary exclusive of bonuses).
