Locksmith Technician

We are seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team in Akron.

As a Locksmith Technician you will be responsible for installing repairing and maintaining various types of locks and security systems.

This is a contract position that offers a salary of $900 per week.

• Install and repair various types of locks including electronic and mechanical locks
• Cut new or duplicate keys using key-cutting machines
• Create master key systems for commercial or residential properties
• Troubleshoot and fix issues with locks and security systems
• Provide customers with recommendations on the best type of lock or security system for their needs
• Keep accurate records of services provided and materials used
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools are properly maintained and organized

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a locksmith or in a related field preferred
• Knowledge of different types of locks and security systems
• Ability to use key-cutting machines and other locksmith tools effectively
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate with clients in a professional manner
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have own transportation and valid drivers license

This is a contract position that requires flexibility in working hours as well as being on-call for emergency lockout situations. The job may involve working outdoors or in various locations such as homes businesses or vehicles. The ability to lift heavy objects stand for long periods and use tools safely is also necessary.
