Light Diesel Mechanic

Marvin is seeking a Light Diesel Mechanic to keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly by maintaining and repairing light diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, diagnose, and service engines, hydraulics, electrical, and fuel systems to ensure safe, reliable performance. You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and document all work performed. Working in a people-first, safety-focused environment, you'll collaborate with maintenance and production teams, contribute to continuous improvement, and build a long-term career with a stable, family-owned manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair light diesel engines and related systems for Marvin's manufacturing operations
• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles, forklifts, and equipment to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems using diagnostic tools and manuals
• Document all maintenance and repairs accurately in service records and maintenance systems
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize repairs and support safe operations
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies in the shop and plant areas
• Order or request needed parts and assist in maintaining inventory of critical components
• Support continuous improvement efforts in reliability, maintenance practices, and equipment performance
