As a Carpenter - Construction and Renovation Specialist you will play a vital role in the building and renovation of various structures in Akron Ohio Your expertise in carpentry will be utilized to construct install and repair wooden structures such as frameworks roofs floors and walls You will also be responsible for ensuring that all structures are built according to blueprints and building codes.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints to determine materials needed for construction or renovation
- Measure cut shape join and assemble wooden materials according to specifications
- Install structures such as windows doors cabinets stairs and molding
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures such as floors roofs or walls
- Inspect existing structures for any damages or potential hazards
- Use hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on construction sites
- Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure timely completion of projects
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Carpenter in construction or renovation projects
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to carpentry work
- Ability to read blueprints and follow building codes accurately
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials if required
- Attention to detail with excellent measurement skills
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other workers on the project
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have own hand tools
- Successful completion of high school diploma or equivalent
Salary $1000 per week plus overtime opportunities
