The AWS Development Internship presents an exciting opportunity to undergo training within the dynamic AWS cloud environment, engaging with cloud development tools and embracing agile practices. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with developers, architects, and project managers, gaining valuable insights into the practices, processes, and technologies essential for a successful transition from intern to software developer.
Responsibilities- Develop integrations utilizing AWS services like Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS), Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), and AWS Lambda, adhering to an asynchronous publish and subscribe model.
- Implement established integration patterns.
- Create and maintain event‑driven solutions using Node.js.
- Rigorously unit test all components developed.
- Implement robust error handling and alerting in alignment with generalized development standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug integration issues, implementing scalable solutions to enhance performance.
- Implement data validation, transformation, and normalization processes to ensure conformity with the canonical data model and compatibility across integrated systems.
- Currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date:
May 2027. - Development experience in building Java applications.
- Proficiency in working within a team setting using agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated diverse technical skills supporting the overall development lifecycle.
- Strong background in math, science, or music.
- Experience with Node.js or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with AWS services, especially SNS, SQS, and Lambda, is a plus.
- Solid problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug integration issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and pursue an AWS Developer Certification.
Hybrid: open to candidates in the Dallas and Cleveland/Akron areas. This is a part‑time (20 hours/week) 12‑month internship. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
