Senior level developer

As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for overseeing and developing new software applications as well as maintaining and upgrading existing ones. You will work closely with a team of developers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet high-quality standards. This position requires an individual with strong technical skills, leadership abilities and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software development and be proficient in multiple programming languages.

This is a contract position based in Akron with accommodation provided and a free visa and ticket for non-local candidates.

• Lead the development of new software applications from concept to completion
• Maintain and enhance existing software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement new features
• Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budget
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Mentor junior developers on best practices

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software development
• Proficient in multiple programming languages such as Java, C++, Python
• Experience with web development frameworks such as Angular or React
• Strong understanding of database design principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively
• Good communication skills

• Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
