Software Tester

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our team in Akron.

As a Software Tester you will be responsible for identifying and reporting bugs and defects in our software applications. You will work closely with our development team to understand the requirements and functionality of the software in order to create comprehensive test plans and execute test cases.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Perform manual testing of software applications to identify bugs defects and usability issues
• Develop comprehensive test plans based on requirements and functionality of the software
• Execute test cases and document results accurately
• Collaborate with development team to understand software changes and updates
• Report bugs and defects using established processes
• Verify bug fixes after they have been implemented by developers
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely resolution of issues

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies tools and processes
• Experience with manual testing of web-based applications is required
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or C++ is a plus
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
