The J.M. Smucker Co. Commercial Operations organization enables people, process and/or technology solutions that support Concept to Commercialization capabilities and help our business perform, transform, and grow. The Senior Developer on the PLM team realizes this purpose by serving as a cloud developer specific to PLM, Formulation and Regulatory specific applications. This role requires in-depth knowledge of development languages, learning new cloud solutions quickly, excellent communication, the curiosity to solve problems and influencing junior developers.

Being a part of the PLM Center of Excellence (COE) has built in direct relationships with internal business customers. This roleis expected to build in depthknowledgeof

Formula/Commercial/Regulatory businessconcepts and end-to-end process flow.

Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires

• Under moderate guidance, designs, builds and supports PLM specific software applications, integrations and other related technologies that meet business requirements, factor supportability and balance cost versus benefit. May lead technical activities for smaller projects.

• Provide input to work plans and estimates based on experience with development activities. to complete required technical activities and align with architectural principles associated with the project.

• Author technical design specifications for moderately complex solutions PLM owned applications and integrations.

• Follow documented standards for development, code promotion, and change management. Instructs junior resources as appropriate.

• Participate in integration, performance, and load testing efforts, and help identify and implement opportunities for automation and AI use.

• When applicable, participate in mock cutover exercises to prevent disruption and issues once live.

• Provide troubleshooting and fixes for complex issues, driving understanding of root cause and prioritization.

• Follow defined support paths and incident management processes to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Develop knowledge base and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technical support plans.

• Execute activities to support ongoing maintenance and periodic releases of software.

• Model quality and consistency in execution, seeking and providing feedback on what is working well and what is not.

• Implement improvements to development standards, code promotion processes and/or change management.

• Promote and identify reusable code opportunities to drive efficiency and standardization across development solutions.

• 3+ years of work experience as a developer, with either a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline or specialized training in development/cloud development.

• Experience with technical delivery in formal development roles across multiple technologies including cloud/SaaS

• Experience with entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience delivering assignments independently within formal project frameworks (Agile, Traditional/Waterfall, Dev Ops)

• Broad knowledge of development languages, with proficient depth in Java, .NET or similar.

• Knowledge of enterprise toolsets for integration, reporting, process orchestration and/or scheduling

• Knowledge of multiple data structures, algorithms, formats and integration methods
