The Shaw JCC is a community center located in Akron that offers an array of services. One of those services is our great wellness and fitness programs including Silver Sneakers, Zumba, TRX and personal training. We are looking for group exercise instructors for various classes so we can expand our programs. Check out our website  and see what we are all about!

All instructors will:

• Lead and deliver group exercise classes based on industry standards and formats during scheduled times.
• Instruct members on effective workout methods and techniques, demonstrate exercises, explaining methods and modifications.
• Provide clear verbal instructions that will ensure the conductivity of the class through music, teaching, learning and fun.
• Coach and motivate class participants to achieve their fitness goals safely without injury and overexertion.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards members.
• Interact with members, answer questions to ensure all are using correct form during class and offer modifications and variations of the activities to accommodate all fitness levels.

We are looking for instructors for:

• CPR certification
• TRX
  • TRX Level 1 qualifications required
  • Group exercise certification and/or Personal Training certification (nationally recognized)
  • CPR certification
• Silver Sneakers
  • Silver Sneakers certification
  • CPR certification
• Personal training experience
• Group exercise certification
• CPR certification
