Truck Driver CDL A Solo Regional

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Akron, OH—offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• $1950 or more per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.57 per mile with 2300+ miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $23.00 per stop with 12–15 stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $52.00 per night with 4–5 nights per week
• Safety Bonus: up to $1250 per year
• Loyalty Bonus: $4000, paid $2000 at 6 months and $2000 at 1 year

  Sunday–Friday
• Dispatch Time: 7:00–8:00 AM
• Sunday Evening Load Pickup

• Deliver SOLO to all states east of the Mississippi River
• Route:
  Regional
• Tractor type: 2023/2024 Automatic Sleepers, Refrigerators, Invertors, Microwave and Tri‑pac & outward facing cameras
• Trailer type:
  Dry Van, 48' & 53'
• Freight:
  Driver Assist – Garage Doors

• Trucks are 36 months or newer
• 24/7 roadside maintenance included
• Company drivers fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test and background check with drug/alcohol verification from last 3 years
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
