Truck driver

We are a transportation company based in Akron seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over long distances typically between states or countries. You will operate a heavy‑duty truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate logs of driving activities
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers and other drivers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues before and after trips
• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with good driving record
• At least 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
• Ability to operate heavy‑duty trucks in a variety of weather conditions
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent education level
• Physical stamina and ability to spend long hours on the road
• Attention to detail and good time‑management skills
