Job Description

Little Miami Transportation Department is looking for a designated standby bus driver. The position guarantees 6 hours of work per day and is a contracted route that qualifies for benefits.

Requirements & Responsibilities
  • Schedule a test with the Ohio BMV for a temporary CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements. The test covers General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Passenger, and School Bus sections. A study manual is available at the Ohio BMV.
  • Contact Chad Konkle at ckonkle to schedule an interview, complete a background check, and demonstrate a clear driving record. A physical and drug test are also required.
    • A physical examination from Arrow Springs Occupational Medicine will be required.
    • A pre‑employment Drug and Alcohol test will be administered through Arrow Springs Occupational Medicine.
  • Train with one of our On‑Board Instructors. Minimum training time is 12 hours; average training is 25‑30 hours.
  • Attend 15 classroom hours with Brandon Anness at the Warren County Educational Service Center.
  • Take the CDL State Test. An On‑Board Instructor will accompany you during testing.
  • The final step is approval by the School Board for employment.
