We are looking for a skilled Pump Mechanic/Pump Technician with hands‑on experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of various pump systems within a Facilities Management environment.
Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all pump systems, inspect and maintain pump casings, mechanical seals, bearings, shafts, couplings, motors, valves, strainers, and base frames, carry out lubrication activities, and ensure proper pump alignment.
- Inspection & Monitoring
Conduct daily inspections and record operational parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, vibration, noise levels, leakage, and running hours; identify abnormalities and report them promptly.
- Breakdown Maintenance
Attend emergency breakdowns and diagnose pump failures, troubleshoot issues including low pressure, excessive vibration, seal leakage, motor overheating, bearing failures, and blockages; repair or replace defective components and restore equipment to operation.
- Pump Testing & Alignment
Perform pump and motor alignment checks and verify coupling conditions; conduct operational testing after repairs and ensure safe return‑to‑service procedures are followed.

- Documentation & Reporting
Update maintenance records, CMMS work orders, breakdown reports, and asset histories; record spare parts consumption and maintenance activities.
- Safety Coordination
Follow Permit‑to‑Work requirements and use appropriate PPE; coordinate with FM Supervisors, Operations Teams, Security, and other stakeholders during maintenance activities and shutdowns.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Certification
- 3–5 years of pump maintenance experience in FM, Utilities, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects
- Experience with centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, booster systems, and pump alignment
- Knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, and preventive maintenance practices
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge and ability to coordinate with electrical teams for motor and control‑related faults
