Electrical Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to perform troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the petrochemical or mining industry with strong expertise in industrial electrical maintenance and equipment reliability.

• Perform troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, test, install, and maintain motors, transformers, switch gear, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Replace and commission electrical components and equipment as required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company standards, electrical codes, and HSE regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and operations teams to complete maintenance activities efficiently.
• Support commissioning, shutdown, and turnaround maintenance activities when required.

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Mandatory experience in the petrochemical or mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, electrical safety standards, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Good communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
