An opportunity is available for experienced Gas Detection System Technicians to support a project in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on the inspection, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of gas detection and fire alarm systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with applicable safety standards.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of experience in Saudi Arabia working with gas detection systems. Previous SABIC work experience is mandatory. The successful candidate should have hands‑on technical expertise in Fire & Gas alarm systems, detection equipment, control panels, sensors, detectors, and associated components.

This position is suitable for technically skilled professionals with a diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and practical experience in industrial safety systems. • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of Fire & Gas systems.
• Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot gas detection equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning gas detection and fire protection equipment.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
• Install, maintain, and test fire alarm systems and associated devices.
• Inspect control panels, detectors, alarms, sensors, batteries, and related components.
• Perform fire detection, suppression, and emergency system testing as required.
• Carry out conduit bending, device termination, and installation activities.
• Read and interpret technical drawings for installation and maintenance tasks.
• Use multimeters and conduct Megger tests when required.
• Clean and replace defective sensors, detectors, and batteries.
• Follow established preventive maintenance frequencies for Fire & Gas equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Prepare compliance documentation and system performance reports.
• Recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Ensure Fire & Gas systems remain operational and comply with applicable safety requirements.
