Librarian Specialist; Al-Rayyan

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Specialist to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As a Librarian Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and organising our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and developing and implementing library programs.

• Manage and organise the library collection including cataloguing books, periodicals, and other materials
• Assist patrons with research inquiries using online databases and reference materials
• Develop and implement innovative library programmes to engage the community
• Maintain library website and social media presence to promote library resources and events
• Train students on how to use library resources effectively
• Collaborate with teachers to incorporate library resources into classroom instruction
• Assist with budget management for purchasing new materials
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of librarianship

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
• Strong knowledge of cataloguing systems
• Familiarity with online databases and reference materials
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)

Salary: 1700$ per month

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. We welcome applications from all nationalities but preference will be given to Indian candidates. Biometric passport is required for this position.
