Librarian - Al-Rayyan

We are currently hiring a qualified Librarian for our educational institution in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources, assisting students and faculty with research needs, and promoting a love for reading and learning within the school community.

• Organize and maintain the school library collection, including books, magazines, and digital resources
• Assist students and faculty with research needs by providing guidance on effective search strategies
• Promote literacy by creating engaging displays and programs to encourage reading
• Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans that incorporate library resources
• Manage circulation of materials, including checking in/out books and collecting fines for late returns
• Stay updated on current trends in literature and educational technology to enhance library offerings
• Train students on how to use the library cataloging system
• Ensure a welcoming environment for all library users

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian in an educational setting
• Knowledge of library management systems and online databases
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
• Passion for promoting literacy and providing excellent customer service

The salary for this position is $1500 per month.
