Librarian

We are hiring a Librarian who is passionate about books and knowledge. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and managing our collection of books, journals, and other resources. You will also assist patrons in finding information and conducting research. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and a love for literature.

• Organize and classify books, journals, and other resources according to the library's system
• Maintain accurate records of all library materials
• Assist patrons in finding information and conducting research
• Plan and conduct library programs and events
• Create displays to promote new materials or themes
• Manage circulation activities such as checking in/out materials, issuing library cards, collecting fines/fees
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and helping patrons locate materials
• Develop and maintain relationships with community members to promote library services
• Stay updated on new trends in library science and implement changes as necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to categorize materials accurately
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of records and information
• Knowledge of library systems and classification methods
• Familiarity with reference materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist patrons of all ages/backgrounds
• Passion for reading, learning, and promoting literature

Salary: $1700 per month
