Outboard Mechanic

Summary:

This role is for an experienced Marine Mechanic / Outboard Mechanic to join a dynamic technical team responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of marine engines and vessel systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of marine equipment across various operational environments, including drydock, workshop, and onboard settings. With a focus on preventive maintenance and technical accuracy, this position offers a valuable opportunity to advance a career in the marine industry, particularly within Gulf or offshore operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repair, servicing, and maintenance of outboard and inboard marine engines
• Diagnose mechanical faults and conduct effective troubleshooting on marine equipment
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of vessels and mechanical systems
• Repair engine, fuel, cooling, steering, and hydraulic systems
• Support drydock activities, workshop operations, and onboard maintenance tasks
• Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed safely, efficiently, and to standard
• Maintain accurate service reports and technical documentation

• Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic, Outboard Mechanic, or Marine Engine Technician
• Strong knowledge of marine engines and vessel mechanical systems
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify and resolve technical and mechanical issues
• Experience in marine workshops, shipyards, offshore vessels, or boat maintenance is preferred
• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Marine Engineering is an advantage
• Gulf or offshore experience is highly preferred

• Hands‑on experience with Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, or similar outboard engines
• Familiarity with marine maintenance procedures and safety standards
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced marine environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
