North Alabama Restorations is seeking an experienced and highly dependable Accounts Receivable & Insurance Billing Specialist to join our fast-paced restoration team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a skilled AR professional who understands billing, collections, and reconciliation at a high level — someone who can step in, take ownership of receivables, and keep cash flow moving with minimal supervision.

Process, post, and reconcile customer payments accurately and efficiently

Generate invoices for restoration projects (water, fire, mold remediation)

Manage both insurance billing and direct customer billing

Monitor Accounts Receivable aging reports and identify delinquent accounts

Perform proactive collections and follow up on outstanding invoices

Communicate professionally with customers and insurance carriers regarding payment status

Resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with estimating and operations teams

Assist with job cost tracking and documentation compliance

Prepare AR reports for management review

Support month-end closing processes

Minimum of 2+ years of hands‑on Accounts Receivable experience

Strong working knowledge of billing, collections, and account reconciliation

Experience in restoration, construction, or service-based environments preferred

Experience with insurance billing strongly preferred

Proficiency in Quick Books (preferred) or similar accounting software

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and strong time management abilities

Ability to manage a high-volume workload with accuracy
