We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our expanding audit team based in our Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring professional who aligns with our core values and is passionate about supporting audit partners, helping clients achieve their goals, and fostering the growth and development of our audit team.
What’s the Role About?As an Audit Manager you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of financial statements under FRS
102 and IFRS. You will lead audits with minimal supervision, ensure deadlines are met, and actively contribute to client meetings. Your responsibilities include financial management (WIP, billing, debt control), mentoring upcoming audit talent, and playing a key role in business development by maintaining client relationships and fostering new opportunities.
- Lead and manage audits across a diverse portfolio of clients under FRS
102 and IFRS. - Ensure audit deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Oversee financial management activities, including WIP, billing and debt control.
- Mentor and develop junior audit staff.
- Maintain and grow client relationships to support new business opportunities.
- Research and resolve complex audit and technical issues independently.
- Strong experience in an audit‑focused accountancy practice.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client and team relationships.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Experience leading group audits and preparing consolidated accounts.
- Previous use of Case Ware or Mercia methodologies is desirable.
A CA/ACCA qualification and grounded experience in an accountancy practice in an audit‑focused role.
