Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team at a growing seed manufacturing company in Hartford, Alabama. This position will work closely with another accountant and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of financial data.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounts receivable experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

• Process and maintain accounts payable transactions.
• Manage and monitor accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Match vendor invoices to freight bills and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper payment processing.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Work collaboratively with another accountant and other departments to support accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Handle sensitive financial information with a high level of confidentiality.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and experience is required
• Strong Attention to Detail and Bookkeeping Experience
